Total Time:25 minutes
Yield:2 servings
Ingredients
Tea Base
0.5 cup hot water
1 teaspoon honey optional, plus additional to taste
1 bag white tea
0.5 cup ice cubes plus additional for serving
Beverage Mix
1 cup guava juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed, about 0.25 to 0.5 lemon, plus additional to taste
Instructions
Dissolve Honey and Steep Tea: In a large measuring cup, dissolve the honey if using into 0.5 cup of boiling water. Add the white tea bag and allow it to steep for 10 minutes to extract the flavor.
Add Ice and Continue Steeping: After 10 minutes, add 0.5 cup of ice cubes and let the tea steep for another 10 minutes to chill and mellow out.
Mix Guava and Lemon: Stir in the guava juice and freshly squeezed lemon juice into the steeped tea mixture to combine all flavors.
Serve with Ice: Fill one large glass or two smaller glasses generously with ice cubes, then pour the guava white tea lemonade over the ice.
Enjoy: Serve immediately for a refreshing drink.
Notes
Adjust honey and lemon juice to taste to control sweetness and tartness.
Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor, but bottled lemon juice can be substituted in a pinch.
The steeping time can be adjusted if you prefer a stronger or lighter tea flavor.
For a vegan option, omit honey or substitute with agave syrup.
Can be prepared ahead and chilled in the refrigerator; add ice just before serving to prevent dilution.
